Employees and managers of Kumtor’s Mine Engineering Department in the frameworks of “Kumtor Ambassadors” program, took part in charity action titled “Emgekchil Ui-Buloo” (“Post a fishing rod to catch fish”), initiated by “Elim Barsynby?” Foundation.
The aim of the project is to contribute to poverty elimination in the society. During the project, 20 families in need were selected (earlier identified by social workers of the Foundation). Money were collected for purchase of the necessary equipment.
On 3rd of March 2016 within the given project 20 families in need were granted with food supply packages. Besides, Cholponai Borbueva, single parent became the first large recipient of the charity. Being a sewer and mother of six children, she alone with her children lives in rented house, paying 2500 soms rent fee monthly. By recommendation of “Elim Barsynby?” Foundation workers, within the project she was provided with the sewing machine with necessary instruments, so in future she would be able to earn money to support her family.
Participants of the charity action, namely the team of the Mine Engineering Department encourage colleauges to join them in conducting future events.
