On April 23, 2016, the American University in Central Asia (AUCA) hosted the Careers Fair 2016, where Kumtor Gold Company was introduced as the main, platinum, partner of the event.
The main goal of the Fair was the creation of a special ground for students and employers, helping the former to find employment and the latter – to find skilled personnel, share their experience and inform about career opportunities in their organizations. The number of the Fair participants exceeded all expectations – it has brought together more than 700 senior students and graduates from various universities of Kyrgyzstan and more than 60 leading domestic and foreign companies as well as international organizations.
Kumtor Gold Company was represented by Gulmira Turdubayeva, Manager, Administration & Employee Development, and Norman Bobocel, Training and Development Advisor, who welcomed the Fair participants and emphasized that Kumtor, being one of the country’s most attractive employers, is very happy to contribute to such an important event as the Careers Fair 2016, where students can get the ‘first-hand’ information about job vacancies, working conditions, social programs, opportunities for professional self-fulfillment and find their bearings in today’s labor market.
Kumtor’s presentation stall has become the brightest and most informative one among the Fair participants, where visitors could obtain information about the company and job opportunities available. Kumtor pays great attention to the personnel development and training, as well as invests in a new generation of professionals in the mining and related industries. It should be particularly noted that creation of favorable and safe working conditions is a major priority for the company.
“We listened to presentations and attended sessions of Kumtor Gold Company and Beeline Company, learned how to find a job and what to include in a resume. Our delight is beyond words! We wish such activities took place in our city more often,” senior students of the State Administration Academy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Asalia and Kubat shared their impressions.
