Kumtor Gold Company, the largest gold mining operation in the Kyrgyz Republic, celebrates the Metallurgist Day every year.

Head of the Company Mr. Almazbek Baryktabasov expressed gratitude to the mine employees for their diligent work and awarded the most distinguished miners with certificates of merit and letters of appreciation.

“Any job is honourable and deserves respect, but the job of metallurgists is especially hard and honoured. Not everyone can do the work you do. Metallurgist is a difficult and very responsible occupation that requires high professionalism, patience and strong character. I would like to extend my gratitude for the work you do on a daily basis with a sense of extreme responsibility”, said the Company President.

On the occasion of the Metallurgist Day of the Kyrgyz Republic a special concert was held which granted the miners a festive mood.
