THE PRESIDENT OF THE KUMTOR GOLD COMPANY CJSC ALMAZBEK BARYKTABASOV: “UNDERGROUND MINING WILL INCREASE GOLD PRODUCTION”

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev and President of the Kumtor Gold Company CJSC Almazbek Baryktabasov gave a start to the project on gold mining at the Kumtor deposit by underground method.

Almazbek Baryktabasov noted that the development of gold reserves at Kumtor deposit by underground method is one of the most important tasks aimed at expanding the production base of the company.

“The feasibility study of the underground gold mining project developed by experts speaks about its economic efficiency. According to preliminary data, with the help of underground mining method it will be possible to obtain 115 tons of gold. Considering the precious metal mined at the mine by open pit method, this is a big step forward,” emphasized the head of the company.

The President of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC emphasized that with the help of underground mining the company expects to reach ore with the higher gold content.

“All these facts contribute the increasing in volumes of gold which is produced at the enterprise. As a result, we will increase tax deductions to the republican budget and the amounts of paid at the end of the year in the form of dividends,” said Almazbek Baryktabasov.
