Graduates of the Vocational School No.27, who studied under Kumtor Gold Company’s Scholarship Program, have passed an independent qualification test held on June 24, 2016 under the program “Vocational Training and Employment Promotion”. The program is carried out by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of Education and Science, Vocational Education Agency, Sequa Company (Germany) and Kumtor Gold Company.
According to the rules of the independent qualification test, the selection committee includes only invited experts and professionals, who do not work in the universities. This time Kumtor Company was represented by Taras Zhiril and Vadim Beznosenko.
Certificates of independent qualification test are endorsed by all project participants and recognized in the FSU countries, which gives professionals a competitive edge when applying for jobs, as well as ensures an appropriate proficiency level of hired workers, which facilitates the personnel selection.
“I hope that, in addition to the diploma of the vocational school No.27, the certificate of independent qualification test will give me a better chance to get a job at Kumtor. This has been my main goal from the very beginning. I am also grateful for additional opportunities to find job in the neighboring countries easier than others, if I want to, because my knowledge and skills are confirmed by independent experts,” vocational school graduate Rustem Sultanaliyev said.
Director of the vocational school Igor Mankovsky said that participation in the program imposes more responsibility on them in the training of specialists. “We are striving to continually improve the quality of education. The fact that qualification test is completely independent, and the skills of our graduates are assessed by the potential employers spurs us to work better,” he emphasized.
