On October 22, 2017, employees of Kumtor mine site HR & Administration and site Medical visited the non-governmental orphanage “Drujnaya Semya” located in Semenovka village of Issyk-Kul District within the framework of the corporate volunteering program “Ambassadors of Kumtor”. For funds collected a combined gas-electric cooker and winter footwear were purchased and delivered for children of this orphanage.
The non-governmental orphanage “Drujnaya Semya” was established 13 years ago by private individuals and has an accreditation; the orphanage does not receive any support from government and local authorities, the orphanage administration has to ask for help from the private individuals and private companies. As of today, 19 children aged between 4 and 17 constantly live in the orphanage. All of them are here for various reasons upon the decision of the Youth Liaison Service and Social Protection Department of the Issyk-Kul District.
The non-governmental orphanage “Druzhnaya Semya” was organized by private individuals 13 years ago and has accreditation, state support and support from local governments is currently not received by the institution, the management of the orphanage asks for help from private individuals and non-governmental institutions. To date, 19 children aged 4 to 17 live permanently in this orphanage. All of them were here for various reasons and for the distribution of IDN and the management of social protection in Issyk-Kul district.
