Ambassadors of Kumtor from among the employees of the Procurement & Logistics Department helped the needy single mothers, Aigul and Nargiza. They learnt about these women, going through hard times, from the media.
Aigul and her two sons live in Archa-Beshik suburb near Bishkek. The eldest son is 8 years old, the youngest is 7. The family rents a former bathhouse and badly needs food supplies, since Aigul is not employed at the moment. Employees of the Procurement & Logistics Department raised money, purchased food and school supplies and delivered them to Aigul. In addition, at the request of Aigul, they bought a school uniform for her younger son. Female employees of the Department handed over gifts, including personal care products, warm clothes and household appliances. The mother and children liked all the gifts very much. Aigul was very grateful for food supplies and asked to convey her thanks to everyone who contributed to this charitable act. In addition to material assistance, Kumtor employees also provided her with legal support. In particular, Aigul was consulted on personal issues and received legal advice on submission of application and preparation of documents for school admission.
Charitable aid was also provided to single mother Nargiza. She received a school uniform for her son and four packs of diapers. Her son Aman is 9 years old, but he cannot walk; he has undergone his seventh surgery recently. This family lives in Belovodskoye village of Chui oblast, they have rented a 1-bedroom apartment in Bishkek for a month so that Aman could undergo treatment. Nargiza very much hopes that he will be able to walk again after the course of treatment. At the end of this week, they will return home. Nargiza wrote that Aman was very happy to get the school uniform. She expresses her deep gratitude to the Procurement & Logistics Department of Kumtor Gold Company and wishes everyone good health.
