Since October 24, 2022 in the Bishkek office and Karakol Regional Office of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) a safety marathon was held among the company employees in order to encourage the development of a safety culture, increase the employee motivation and involvement in the occupational health and safety processes.

Eldiyar Kaldarbekov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzaltyn Joint Stock Company, paid a working visit to the Kumtor mine. He met with the management and personnel of the gold mining company, examined in detail the production process, and discussed the implementation of the mine development plan and perspectives.

Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) has summarized its results for the nine months of 2022. Kumtor produced 389,357 ounces¹, which is equal to 12,110.3 kg of gold. Since the beginning of 2022 KGC has  transferred taxes and obligatory payments in the amount of more than 26.78 billion KGS.

On October 29, 2022, nine mini-football teams of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) contractors from the Issyk-Kul Region held an “Yntymak Football” tournament with the participation of the KGC team, which was hosted by the “Karakol Arena” club in Karakol town.

Balykchy Marshalling Yard (BMY) is the central transport and logistics hub of the Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC). Dozens of tons of shipments with various materials necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Kumtor Mine arrive here on a daily basis by rail and road.

Starting from September 26, 2022, a safety marathon has been held at Balykchy Marshalling Yard of the Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) among employees of company aimed to develop a safety culture and increase employee motivation and involvement in occupational health and safety processes.

“Wild Animals” signs appeared at the Kumtor Mine site to warn of the possible appearance of wildlife on the roadway. They are mainly horned cloven-hoofed animals, such as argali and ibex.

On August 23, 2022, by the Order No. 446-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the external management procedure at the Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) was terminated. On the same day, by decisions of the sole KGC shareholder, Kyrgyzaltyn JSC, the Company’s Board of Directors and Management Committee have been formed.

On April 4, 2022, the Global Arrangement Agreement was signed among the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyzaltyn JSC, Centerra Gold Inc. and Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) and Kumtor Operating Company CJSC (KOC), approved by Resolution № 102 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated March 4, 2022.

Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) has provided assistance for installation of new bridges over the Jety-Oguz River on the road in Jeti-Oguz District of the Issyk-Kul Province.

The Osh Regional Blood Center, which serves the entire southern region of the republic – the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions – received a new 100 kW diesel genset from the Kumtor Gold Company (KGC).
