At Kumtor, in the Arctic high-altitude conditions, strong people work. The rotation lasts for two weeks. At the same time, about two thousand people live in the mine’s camp. Some of the employees have been working in the company for many years, and some have only recently joined a large team.

With the introduction of the Temporary External Management, Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) has launched large-scale production modernization processes.

The management of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC, in response to a request from Ulanbek Daliyev, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Issyk-Kul Region, immediately sent heavy equipment and workers to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster in the Jety-Oguz District of the Issyk-Kul Region.

On July 27, 2021, the Kumtor Mill was launched after annual planned maintenance. The Kumtor Mill operations has been suspended for maintenance starting from July 23. Mill Manager Nurdin Usenov predicted the Mill commissioning on July 29 if all planned maintenance operations would be completed ahead of schedule.

On July 22, 2021, Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) handed over a new tractor dump trailer with two-way unloading and eight 1-ton tanks for drinking water (eurocubes) to the Nizhnyaya Serafimovka House for the Elderly.

Suspension of the Kumtor Mill operation for annual scheduled maintenance is planned from July 23 to 30, 2021.

On the professional holiday – Metallurgist Day, July 18, 2021, a concert for employees and contractors of the company with the participation of Kyrgyz celebrities was held at the Kumtor Mine. The festive event with observance of all sanitary and preventive rules was organized at the initiative of Kumtor Gold Company management. Mine is a second home for miners, and it should be a beautiful and comfortable space since they spend half of their time here.

On July 16, 2021, 12 students who had successfully completed their 9-month training program at the Karakol IT Academy were awarded certificates in a solemn atmosphere in Bishkek. All of them have acquired a profession of a junior developer of the Front-End program.

On July 8-9, 2021, a group of Russian journalists visited the Kumtor mine. According to them, a lot of contradictory information and rumors have been recently circulating around the company and, therefore, they approached the management of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC) to see the true picture and the condition of the glaciers around the deposit.

This court ruling has: – waived the written resolutions of the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC dated May 31, 2021, adopted by Centerra Gold Inc., as a sole shareholder of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (on the basis of which the bankruptcy procedure of KGC in New York was initiated); -forbidden the Designated Persons specified in the Written Resolutions of the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC dated May 31, 2021, to act on behalf of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC to carry out the intent and purpose of the foregoing resolutions adopted, as well as to perform any actions directly or indirectly related to execution of Written Resolutions of the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC dated May 31, 2021.

Mr. Perry, We, many thousands of the Kumtor mine team that unites residents from different regions of our beloved Homeland, have read your letter dated July 1, 2021, with mixed feelings, reflecting our deep bewilderment, regret and disappointment. We can’t even say what in your words particularly unpleasantly struck all of us: your hypocrisy, lies or desire to evade liability by any means?
