09.07.2013 Kumtor Gold Company reports extending the time limit for repayment of the KR budget indebtedness to the Company

Kumtor Gold Company and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic have agreed to revise the offset schedule for the advance revenue-based tax payment made by the Company in 2012. The appropriate document was signed by the Company and State Tax Service under the KR Government in June 2013

05.07.2013 Kumtor Contributes Medical Equipment to Jety-Oguz Hospital

An ultrasonic scanner and ambulance were provided by Kumtor Operating Company to the General Practice Center (GPC) in Jety-Oguz district, Issyk-Kul province, on July 5, 2013. The Company’s medical workers held a familiarization training for the district hospital staff. The Fleet and Ford shop Superintendent, KOC, has explained the advantages of an all-wheel drive ambulance car. The total cost of the equipment transferred to the hospital amounts to US $170,000

Mining operations will be resumed at Kumtor following a load of fuel shipped to the mine this afternoon. The Company will try to quickly recover it`s operation rates in order to make up for lost time and ensure that its anticipated production targets remain unchanged

31.05.2013 Kumtor Gold Company reports that supply of electricity to the mine site is stopped again

All mining operations have been suspended other than continuing operations to manage the ice and waste in the high movement area of the open pit. The milling facility has been shut down and is currently standby. Fuel austerity measures have been adopted at the mine. At the first opportunity, full-time and contract employees who are not involved in continuing operations will be taken from the mine.
