18.11.2015 Kumtor Employees Carried Out Charity Act in Support of Children with Special Needs

A charity act was carried out on November 11, 2015, in the Bishkek Park Trade Center by employees and managers of Kumtor Gold Company’s Mining Engineering, Production, Dewatering and Environment Departments in coordination with Compliance Manager as part of the Corporate Responsibility Project.

17.11.2015 Operating Results of the 3rd Quarter of 2015

Centerra Gold Inc. (Centerra) and Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) have summed up their operating results in the third quarter of 2015. In the nine months of 2015, the Kumtor mine produced 390,084 ounces* or 12,132.98 kg of gold. The Company has contributed more than 6.3 billion soms in taxes and mandatory payments.

Kumtor Gold Company received the Certificate On Compliance with the International Cyanide Management Code from the International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI), confirming that Company’s operations with cyanide are in full compliance with the Transportation requirements of the Code.

A team of managers and employees of Kumtor Gold Company held a Community Clean-Up Day in Issyk-Kul oblast on November 5, 2015. The event has become a part of the corporate social responsibility project and covered Kesken Bel pass in Ton region, the beach of Tosor village and the parking lot between Tamga and Tosor villages.

03.11.2015 Greenhouse Built for Kindergarten in Balykchi

A greenhouse was officially opened on October 29, 2015, in the Balajan kindergarten located in the city of Balykchi, Issyk-Kul province. The green house project was supported by Kumtor company as part of the Karagat + Program being implemented by the AVEP Public Fund.

12.10.2015 Drip Irrigation on the coast of the Kara-Bulun Peninsular, Jety-Oguz District

On Oct. 9, 2015, an official ceremony took place on the coast of the Kara-Bulun Peninsular, Lake Issyk-Kul near the village of Kyzyl-Suu to open a demonstration drip irrigated zone. This initiative of the local Kainar Bulagy Jamaat was supported in 2014 by the Small Grants Programme of the Global Environmental Fund (SGP GEF/UNDP) and Kumtor Gold Company.
