Kumtor Company Sponsors Gym Renovation

Kumtor Company has allocated 1.8 million soms from its own budget to renovate the gym of the high school named after Sadyk Sadykov located in the Saru village, Jety-Oguz District Issyk-Kul Province. The relevant agreement was signed today July 5, 2013, by the local authorities and the Director for Sustainable Development, KOC.

Attended by approximately 1,000 children and being the venue for regular social and sport events, the school gym has not been overhauled since 1978 – the fact that makes this a special concern for the village residents. Renovation will be done by a contract organization operating in the same village. According to the builders’ assurances, the work is to begin as early as next Monday.
