During the meeting with representatives of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), key issues related to increasing transparency of the company‘s production and financial activities were discussed.

Almazbek Baryktabasov, President of Kumtor Gold Company, spoke about the company’s operations, emphasizing the importance of these processes in further building trust and improving corporate transparency.

He noted that the company is actively working on improving reporting, transparency and strengthening control over compliance with production, environmental and social standards.

Almazbek Baryktabasov also highlighted the key steps taken by Kumtor Gold Company to improve reporting processes and interaction with government agencies and society.

In turn, Helen Clark, Chair of the EITI Board, expressed her support for the initiatives of the mining company and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in improving transparency in all areas.
