KGC employees transferred a second tranche of donations to the COVID-19 Account of the Health Ministry

​​​​​​​Voluntary donations of Kumtor Gold Company to the program of response to the coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic to the amount of 52,000 soms have been transferred to the COVID-19 account of the Central Treasury of the Finance Ministry for the Health Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

This is a second tranche of donations from Kumtor Gold Company employees. Last April, Kumtor Gold Company employees announced raising funds in aid to the Kyrgyz medical workers heroically fighting the coronavirus epidemic. As a result, a total of 250,000 soms were transferred then to the COVID-19 account of the Central Treasury of the Finance Ministry for the Health Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It should be noted that donations from individuals and organizations to the program of response to the coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic are recorded on two following websites available to everyone:

As for the company itself, Kumtor Gold Company has contributed US $100,000 in aid to provide vital medical supplies to relevant Issyk-Kul structures and individuals involved in the program currently being put in place to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) across the province.

Additionally, the Issyk-Kul Development Fund has contributed 12 million soms to the program combatting the spread of the coronavirus infection across Issyk-Kul province. The said Fund is formed out of Kumtor Gold Company’s contributions to the amount of 1% of the Company’s annual gross revenue.
